Hey everyone so today I'm gonna share with you the products that I use for my hair.I want to start off by saying that I
have very oily hair and usually have to wash it everyday if I'm going to be styling it. However with some of these products I've found that it keeps the shine away for an extra day which I've never had before. Also want to add that all product I use are free of sulfated and parabens.
OGX Coconut Milk Shampoo (Ulta $7.99):
This is my go to shampoo.
Helps control my oil and smells great. I can go two days without washing and not look greasy with this.
OGX Australian Tea Tree Shampoo (Ulta $7.99):
This is made for people with scalp issues such as dandruff psor
iasis or eczema but I use this because it really helps to cleanse the hair and remove all that extra build up you get with styling products. I will use this at the end of the week to cleanse my scalp. This does have argan oil as well and this does leave my hair a little greasy by the end of the day but I don't mind because of the cleansing it does for my scalp.
Shea Moisture Black Soap Conditioner (Drugstore.com $9.99):
I love black soap and that's why I bought this black soap shampoo! I use this interchangeably with the Australian Tea Tree Shampoo since they both do similar things (cleanse the scalp and hair). This o
ne does not lather which can be hard to work with but it gives a nice healthy shine afterwords. Just like the Australian Tea Tree, this will leave my hair greasy by the end of the day but once again the benefits outweigh this factor for me.
OGX Brazilian Keratin Therapy Conditioner (Ulta $7.99):
This stuff helps smooth your hair and keep it straight.
I already have straight hair but it definitely does seem to smooth the hair strand and keep it from frizzing or getting any flyaways plus it smells amazing.
Macadamia Oil Deep Repair Masque (Drugstore.com $22.39):
Besides the coconut milk shampoo this has to be my favorite hair product. This is the only conditioner I've been able to use on my roots and not have it weigh my hair down. It has an amazing smell and lingers in your hair well after you wash it (might not be good if your sensitive to smell). This stuff makes your hair soo incredibly soft and I have never had a result this noticeable with any other product. I'm in love with this stuff and want to try out more from their line!
OGX Nourishing Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum (Ulta $7.99)
I use this after I straighten my hair and it helps tame any flyaways, and makes the hair even shinier and of course it smells great.
Living Proof Satin Hair Serum (Sephora $29.00)
I use this stuff only when I'm trying to get my hair supppper straight. It does tend to leave my hair greasy so I don't like to use it too often (and if I do I use less than a dime sized amount). I never use this above my ears and try to keep it mostly on the ends. Like the deep repair masque this stuff has a very strong smell (which I like) but could be bothersome to those who are sensitive to smells. I think this would be ammmmazing for thicker drier hair types. An added benefit- this has no silicones or oils, plus the packaging is frosted glass which feels very luxurious. Worth the price? Yes!
Alterna Bamboo Smooth-Anti Breakage Thermal Protectant Spray (Sephora 25.00):
This stuff has made my hair stronger and has a nice conditioning effect as it is
more if a spray on cream vs a liquid. I originally bought this to help keep my hair straight all day and while I haven't noticed much improvement in that aspect, my hair does feel healthier overall which I guess is more important anyways. I would repurchase this as a leave in conditioner/ heat protectant but may look elsewhere to lengthen the straightening power. Forgot to mention that this doesn't leave my hair greasy even though I do spray it in my roots.
Ojon Volume Advance Thickening Spray (Ulta $24.00):
I got this stuff as a sample at Ulta. I use it because I don't have any other volumizing products but honestly for me this was nothing special and I won't repurchase because I know this is kind of an expensive product.
Macadamia Natural Oil Healing Oil Spray (Drugstore.com $30.00)
Just like the Macadamia Oil Deep Repair Masque, this stuff works great and does not make my hair greasy. My hair, as I've said before, tends to be very oily and get greasy quickly and even after spraying this on the roots (yes, crazy I know!) my hair will not be weighed down. I'm now convinced that the Macadamia Oil products will be great on my hair and I want to try the shampoo and conditioner as well!
