Hey everyone so today I'm going to give you my thoughts on Sedona Lace's Brushes! I will say that I have tried several different brands of brushes however these do not include Mac or Sigma because I was on a budget at the time I purchased my brushes.
I've ordered several different brush kits from Sedona Lace (Se7en Midnight Lace, Vortex, 12pc Synthetic, Midnight Lace). Most of these brushes are synthetic while the vortex collection offers mostly real hair brushes with a couple synthetic brushes as well. Personally I like both synthetic and real hair brushes. I like synthetic brushes because they tend to be softer and they don't absorb all the product into the brush. They also work great at giving you an airbrushed foundation look and tend to work great with liquid and cream products. Annnd I like real hair as well because they tend to work better for face powder application and I prefer them for working with the eyes.
So after having worked with these brushes for a long time I can give them an honest review. My overall thoughts? I love them.
-They are all soft (even the real hair brushes!) and they have barely shed, some haven't shed at all.
-They hold up great after many washes.
-Some of then have pink a black hairs which is so cute and unique!
-They are very dense (especially the synthetic brushes).
-They are very affordable
I've tried brushes from Seohora, tarte, and bareminerals, and while I do love some of their brushes, they are so expensive and Sedona Lace has the same quality! I would consider Sigma, Sedona Lace's main competition because it seems that more people today are looking to buy brushes in large kits at affordable prices vs buying individually like you would at Mac or Sephora. However Sedona Lace is more affordable than Sigma and though I haven't tried Sigma Brushes a try, I am completely satisfied with the quality provided by Sedona Lace for the reasons mentioned above. I especially like the hot pink bristles! I do think that Sigma offers more variety though. They seem to constantly be coming out with new brushes and kits and I really wish Sedona Lace would do the same because I am in love with their brushes!
