So I wanted to do some reviews for you guys on some affordable eye shadow palettes. We're going to start of with the BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic Palette.
This palette comes with 18 different shades each named after something space related (sun, earth, mercury, comet etc). The eye shadows are baked eyeshadows with multiple colors in each shadow making each shade very unique.
Now I have to tell you guys I looove eyeshadow and tend to buy it when I don't need it.....so this means I have quite the selection in my collection! (that rhymes...Kinda?? haha) Anyway, I have to say that these shades are sooo unique and I don't have anything comparable in my collection! I was super impressed with these colors and also they're pigmentation.
When I went to swatch these it felt like I was swatching something from Urban Decay or Mac. Every shade had a nice sheen to it...no chunky glitter or powdery fallout. The only shade that had some glitter to it was Prometheus and it was nothing obnoxious. The staying powder I would say is average, just be sure to use a primer and it'll prolong the life of these shadows. They are also easy to blend making them easy to work with.
This palette is only $22.95 on the BH website (they always have sales going on though) and I'd say that this is def. worth the money. The only downside I could see is that this is a more colorful palette with not so many neutral shades. That being said I did manage to create a pretty neutral look with this palette (see my bronze glowy summer look!). I hope you guys decide to try this palette out because you won't be disappointed, let me know what you think and what looks you guys come up with this!
(Colors are swatched L-R, top to bottom, with two different views)
My favorite colors
Saturn: I like using this as a highlight on my cheek and actually looks similar to Nars Albatross.
Mars: looks brown in the pan but swatches to deep maroon.
Eclipse: I can't decide if this color is more grey or more purple...it keeps me guessing haha
